This avocet was spotted by me in Suffolk wading by a muddy bank.  Swiping marks made with soft pastels formed the avocet. 

The background texture was created by short pastel marks , using an earthy colour palette, over a ink printed base.

This original pastel painting  measures 10"x10" and will be delivered secure and covered with glassine paper ready to be framed.
